Surat, Puna Village – A car dealer in Puna Village has been arrested for purchasing two pistols in an attempt to impress demanding customers. The dealer's friends, who were entrusted with the weapons, were also apprehended by the Crime Branch.
Madhu alias Madho Bhuwa, a car dealer from Kargil Chowk in Puna Village, bought the pistols and gave them to his friends Satish Savasaviya and Prafulla Bhana for safekeeping. The Crime Branch, acting on a tip-off, arrested both men and confiscated the weapons.
During patrolling, the Crime Branch was informed that two individuals were roaming with pistols near Setubandh Apartment on Seemada Char Road. Upon investigation, Satish Devrajbhai Savasaviya (46) was found to be in possession of a pistol and three cartridges. The second individual, Prafullabhai alias Bhano Chhaganbhai Koladia (41), was also found to be carrying a pistol.
The third person, Madhu alias Madhu Kanubhai Bhuva (31), confessed to being the car dealer who had purchased the weapons to impress his eccentric clientele. Bhuva had obtained one pistol from Lakhansingh Chauhan, a resident of Priyanka Society in Parvat Village, and the other from Abhal alias Chirag Rabari, who lives in Junagadh.
