"Super Sunday" at SVPI Airport: All-Time High Passenger Traffic
Seamless Service to 37696 Passengers with 267 Flights in a Single Day
Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport has set a new record in passenger traffic. On 12th February 2023, the airport saw 37696 passengers with 267 flights, the highest number ever recorded. SVPI Airport Management has been committed to providing passengers with the best possible experience, and the results speak for themselves.
Recently, the airport has undergone several infrastructure and service upgrades to enhance the passenger experience. With amenities like the Goodness Desk, Dynamic Queue Management, and Floor Walking Customer Service Executives, passengers can have a seamless journey through the terminal. The airport has also installed digital barcode scanners at the terminal gates for faster entry, a spacious arrival hall with additional belts, upgraded Z check-in system, pre-SHA area, and more.
Of the 37696 passengers carried on Sunday, 31688 were domestic and 6008 were international. Thanks to the dedicated general aviation terminal, non-scheduled flight movement has increased significantly in the past year. The top international destinations from Ahmedabad include Dubai, Kuwait, and Abu Dhabi, while Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru are the top three domestic destinations. SVPIA plans to continue improving its domestic and international connectivity footprint, with a network of 33 domestic and 15 international destinations.
