Accident in Surat Injures Two Students En Route to 10th Grade Exams
One Student Misses Exam Due to Injuries, While the Other Manages to Attend Despite Incident
Surat – Two girl students on their way to sit for their 10th-grade English exams in Pandesara were injured in an accident this Saturday morning. A rickshaw collided with the bike they were riding, leaving one of the students unable to take the exam due to her injuries. The other student, who sustained minor injuries, was able to continue to the examination center.
The cousins, 15-year-old Krima Maheshbhai Patel and Dhruvi Patel, were being escorted to their examination center at JN Pandya School in Pandesara by Krima's father, Maheshbhai, who is 48 years old. The accident occurred near Siddharth Nagar Canal near Bhestan Navjeevan Honda Circle in Pandesara when a rickshaw puller rammed into their bike.
All three individuals sustained injuries and were referred to New Civil Hospital for treatment. Krima, who had more severe injuries, was admitted to the hospital, preventing her from attending the exam. Dhruvi, however, was able to attend her exam after receiving treatment for her moderate injuries.
Krima and Dhruvi both study at Navasarjan School in Pandesara, with Krima originally hailing from Unjha taluka of Mehsana district. Their father Maheshbhai runs an electric shop in the area.

School officials and local authorities are expected to review and reinforce safety measures in the area to prevent similar accidents from occurring in the future. It is currently unclear if Krima will be granted an opportunity to retake the missed examination at a later date.
In the meantime, the students, their families, and the school community are coming together to support Krima and Dhruvi as they recover from the accident and continue with their education.
