Surat's Lajpore Jail Raided, Inmates Set Fire to Barrack

Surat, Gujarat - Following orders from the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of Gujarat, police teams conducted sudden raids in jails across the state. In Surat's Lajpore Jail, inmates set fire to the barracks and created a ruckus to disrupt the night-long search operation. The Lajpore Central Jail, considered to be hi-tech, is now under scrutiny as police found hashish-ganja, cannabis bundles, and mobile phones in a prisoner's pillow.

Surat's Lajpore Jail has been known for notorious inmates operating their crime empire from within the prison. Mobile phones have been discovered during previous investigations as well. The latest search operation, initiated by Surat police, revealed shocking findings. The Ministry of Home Affairs ordered the raids, and a police convoy was dispatched to the modern Lajpore Jail of Surat.

During the search operation, prisoners caused chaos and set fire inside the jail to hinder police action. They also raised slogans and protested from their barracks. A video of inmates setting fire inside Lajpore Jail has emerged as police sources report prisoners' attempts to stop the search.

The Home Department monitored the entire search operation live through video conference. Late into the night, senior officials, including the Home Minister, oversaw the operation from the Gandhinagar State Control Room. The Home Department has taken serious note of the chaos and arson by the prisoners in Surat's Lajpore Jail and is expected to address the issue.
