Surat : SGCCI Mission 84 Connects with Indian Embassies to Boost South Gujarat Exports
Online meetings held with ambassadors in US, Russia, Italy, and Mozambique to promote trade opportunities
The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) held a series of online meetings last week with Indian ambassadors and embassy officials in Washington, Moscow, Rome, and Maputo. This initiative, part of the SGCCI's Global Connect Mission 84, aimed to increase exports from South Gujarat to various countries.
SGCCI President Ramesh Vaghasia presented the Chamber's mission and activities to the ambassadors and officials, including Dr. Neena Malhotra (Italy), Harshala Chandreh (US), Ved Prakash (Russia), Subbu Ramesh (Mozambique), Amram Gurjar (Mozambique), and Sunil Sharma (Mozambique). He highlighted the online international platform created under Mission 84, connecting 84,000 Indian entrepreneurs and traders with 84,000 businesspeople worldwide.
Mr. Vaghasia emphasized the diverse industries established in South Gujarat, including textiles, diamonds, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, food processing, and solar panel manufacturing. He requested the diplomats' cooperation in facilitating one-on-one business meetings between international traders and Surat's industrialists to promote import of South Gujarat products.
Chamber Vice President Vijay Mewawala, Honorary Treasurer Kiran Thummar, and Mission 84 Core Committee members Jignesh Sanghani, Chirag Khemani, and Meenal Savalia participated in the online meetings. Paresh Bhatt, CEO of SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84, coordinated the discussions with the ambassadors and officials.
This outreach marks a significant step in SGCCI's efforts to expand trade opportunities for South Gujarat businesses. By collaborating with Indian embassies around the world, the Chamber aims to connect local manufacturers and exporters with new markets and potential partners, contributing to the region's economic growth and prosperity.
