Expert committee for selection of Gujarati films

In response to a supplementary question, the minister said that the expert committee has been constituted by the state Information and Broadcasting Department, which consists of a panel of experts, famous directors, actors, and writers. The committee members are selected as per the requirement. Applications for financial assistance to Gujarati films come through this committee. All the films are screened and scored, based on which the grade is fixed and financial assistance is given.

Verification of pending applications

Out of 128 applications received in the last two years, 43 films have been approved for financial assistance. The remaining pending applications are being verified and will be disposed of soon.
