Thalassemia Screening and Counseling Camp Draws Over 150 Students
Surat - The NSS Unit of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Computer Education and Applied Science organized a Thalassemia Screening and Counseling Camp on March 23, 2023, as part of the G20 Awareness Program initiative. The camp was conducted in collaboration with Dr. Mukesh P. Jagiwala (Consulting Psychiatrist) and Indian Red Cross Society-Surat District Branch.
The camp aimed to screen students for Thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder, and provide counseling on prevention and management. The event drew over 150 students who participated enthusiastically.
The program was coordinated by Dean Faculty of Science Dr. Chaulami Desai and NSS Program Officer Dr. Minal Vansia and Dr. Sangeetha Sanadhya under the guidance and support of all HODs of SRKI.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to Dr. Mukesh P. Jagiwala and Indian Red Cross Society-Surat District Branch for their valuable support and contribution to the event's success.
