Ahmedabad : Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport introduces Box-Park with a touch of Gujarat's Identity
Ahmedabad - The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Gujarat has introduced a new departure experience for passengers and their families with the launch of a Box-Park concept. The Box-Park offers a vibrant ambiance to bid farewell to your loved ones and feel the essence of Gujarat, with its unique shopping opportunities and painted containers.
The containers have been artistically painted to reflect the rich culture and traditions of Gujarat. Placed in the Box-Park area at Terminal-1, the containers feature local connections with world-known art styles and patterns. The famous Asiatic Lion of Gujarat is depicted in the Bandhani art and Geometric design, while the world-famous Kite festival is shown in Folk Art Motifs patterns. The Bharat Kam Tribe, known for Kutch Embroidery, and famous architectures are showcased in the form of Graphic art.
To make the departure experience more memorable, the canopy has over 100 plants, and sitting spaces are created around them. The Box-Park also features outlets like Sankalp, London Yard Pizza, and Rudhvay. The unique combination of greenery and art makes the Box-Park a serene and beautiful location for bidding farewell to loved ones.
The Box-Park's design artists include Mr. Pragyesh Parmar, an Indian graphic designer, type designer, and street artist, and Ms. Shruti Katiyar, a graphic designer and illustrator from Delhi. Ms. Sadhna Prasad, a Multidisciplinary Artist and Muralist from Mumbai, executed the design.
