Ahmedabad — In a noteworthy announcement for this Republic Day, five distinguished IPS officers from Gujarat are set to be honored with the prestigious President's Medal. Premveer Singh, a 2005 batch IPS officer born on 1 June 1974 in Uttar Pradesh, holds an MSc in Mathematics. Currently serving as the Range IG of Ahmedabad, he has previously held significant positions, including Joint Police Commissioner of Ahmedabad Crime Branch and in-charge Police Commissioner of Ahmedabad city.
