Vadodara Gears Up for Lok Sabha Elections with Innovative Awareness Chariots
District Election Administration Initiates Vibrant Campaigns to Educate Voters on EVM Usage
In a bid to foster heightened enthusiasm among voters for the upcoming Lok Sabha general elections and promote awareness about electronic voting machines (EVMs), the Vadodara District Election Administration has launched two captivating chariot processions across the city and district. The commencement of both processions was officiated by the District Election Officer, Atul Gore.
With the goal of ensuring transparent and fair Lok Sabha elections, the Vadodara District Election Administration recently undertook strategic measures. Notably, Naib Mamlatdars and clerks from various posts within the Collectorate system were reassigned to election-related responsibilities. Additionally, 18 nodal officers have been designated for diverse tasks, while continuous efforts are underway for the revision of the voter list.
Beyond administrative preparations, the district is actively organizing programs to heighten voter awareness. Atul Gore, serving as both District Election Officer and Collector, inaugurated an LED van equipped with live EVM demonstrations and an audio-visual system. The van is set to traverse polling stations in five assembly constituencies within Vadodara city and five in the district, aiming to educate voters on the election process. Zonal officers will accompany the van, actively participating in spreading awareness.
During the launch, Gore emphasized the van's role in not only encouraging maximum voter turnout but also in providing a practical demonstration of the EVM voting process. This initiative seeks to empower citizens with knowledge on casting votes through EVMs, furthering the democratic spirit as the Lok Sabha elections approach.
