Surat : Sachin Police Seize 18,000 Liters of Adulterated Biodiesel, Arrest Two

Surat : In a major bust, the Sachin Police have seized a tanker filled with 18,000 liters of illegally produced bio-diesel blended fuel near Vanj Bridge on the Surat-Sachin-Palsana-Hazira highway. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the operation, and a further five are named as wanted.

Chemical Caper: Acting on a tip-off, police set up surveillance near the bridge and apprehended a tanker bearing the registration number DD-01-G-9685. Upon inspection, officials discovered the tanker to be carrying a cocktail of chemically treated bio-diesel, raising suspicions of illegal activity.

Driver in the Net: The driver, identified as Kishore Anil Yadav, was immediately detained. Forensics experts were called to the scene to analyze the fuel and collect samples for further investigation.

Following the Trail: The investigation quickly led to the arrest of Ashishkumar Jagdishbhai Patel, residing in Saroli Village, who was identified as the mastermind behind the operation and the one who had ordered the adulterated fuel.

Seized Assets, Ongoing Investigation: In addition to the tanker and its illicit cargo valued at Rs. 16.20 lakh, a Brezza car worth Rs. 6 lakh and two mobile phones were also seized from the accused. The total value of the confiscated goods stands at Rs. 34.35 lakh.

Warrant Issued: Further investigation is underway, and five additional individuals – Jawalkumar Kanubhai Patel, Piyush Patel, and representatives of Jeyenke Petrogels Pvt. Ltd. – have been declared wanted. Police are actively searching for these individuals and plan to take legal action against them.

This successful operation by the Sachin Police highlights the continued vigilance needed to combat illegal fuel production and distribution. The adulterated fuel not only poses a risk to vehicle performance and safety but also harms the environment. The swift action taken in this case serves as a deterrent to those involved in such illicit activities and paves the way for cleaner and safer fuel practices.
