South Gujarat Rejoices as Western Railway Gifts New Intercity Clone Train

Surat : In a welcome move for businessmen and commuters alike, Western Railway has announced the launch of a new intercity clone train between Bandra Terminus and Udhna, effectively bridging the gap between Mumbai and South Gujarat. This comes as a much-needed relief, filling the void left by the lack of daily train services after the 9.30 am Saurashtra Express.

Morning Mumbai, Evening Surat: A Boon for Business: Departing Bandra Terminus at 9.50 am and reaching Udhna at 2.05 pm, the new train caters specifically to the needs of businessmen and bureaucrats who frequently travel between the two cities. The evening return journey, starting at 4.15 pm from Udhna and reaching Bandra Terminus at 8.30 pm, further enhances connectivity and convenience.

Thousands to Benefit, Safety a Key Factor: Thousands of people from Vapi, Valsad, Bilimora, Navsari, Ganadevi, Amalsad, and surrounding areas who travel to Surat for business purposes will immensely benefit from this new train. Safety being a major concern for many, the train's timing aligns perfectly with their preferred mode of travel – the trusted Indian Railways.

Long-Awaited Demand Fulfilled, Makar Sankranti Gift: The launch of this train comes as a delightful surprise, fulfilling a long-standing demand for a new morning train from Mumbai and an evening train from Surat. It coincides perfectly with the upcoming Makar Sankranti festival, making it a special gift for the citizens of South Gujarat.

Complementing Existing Service: The new intercity clone train complements the existing 12935-36 Bandra Terminus-Surat Intercity Express that departs at 6.35 am and reaches Surat at 10.35 am, with a return journey from Surat at 4.25 pm to Bandra. With more options available, commuters can now choose the service that best suits their travel needs.

The launch of this new intercity clone train is a significant step towards improving connectivity between Mumbai and South Gujarat. It promises to boost business, ease travel woes, and bring joy to the people of the region, especially during the festive season.
