Gujarat and UAE Forge Green Path in Vibrant Summit Meeting
Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), sparked a green energy surge during a Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit-2024 meeting on Thursday. The two leaders explored promising collaborations in green hydrogen technology and desalination plants, highlighting a shared vision for sustainable development.
"UAE and Gujarat can walk hand-in-hand towards green hydrogen and desalination advancements," stated Chief Minister Patel, underscoring the vast potential for joint ventures in these emerging sectors. He further lauded Prime Minister Modi's vibrant platform for fostering "One India, Best India" by attracting global investment.
Responding positively, UAE Minister Zeyoudi acknowledged their consistent participation as a partner nation since 2017, emphasizing the rising interest of UAE investors in Gujarat's dynamic landscape. He extended an invitation to Chief Minister Patel to explore the vibrant business climate in the UAE, reciprocating the warm welcome.
Discussions delved beyond existing projects like GIFT City, Dholera SIR, and the Diamond Borse, venturing into renewable energy and green hydrogen collaborations. The Chief Minister highlighted the proactive approach of the state government in facilitating UAE industries, a sentiment echoed by the accompanying business delegation.
Recognizing diverse opportunities, Chief Minister Patel pointed towards infrastructure sectors like rail, roads, ports, and shipping as ripe for UAE investment. Tourism also emerged as a potential avenue for collaboration, with both leaders acknowledging its untapped potential.
