Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Mozambican President Nyusi Foster Bilateral Ties at Vibrant Summit

Gandhinagar - Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel of Gujarat and Mozambican President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi convened at the Mahatma Mandir on Tuesday during the 10th edition of the Vibrant Summit. The summit, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has played a pivotal role in catapulting Gujarat's growth to an exemplary standard, drawing global attention.
President Nyusi, reminiscing about his days studying at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, referred to Gujarat as his 'second home.' Recollecting the era when Prime Minister Modi served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Nyusi witnessed the initial phases of the state's comprehensive development under Modi's leadership during his time in Ahmedabad.
Impressed by Gujarat's rapid progress, Nyusi lauded the state as a role model for India's development, capturing the attention of both the nation and the world. Recognizing Gujarat's prowess in the seed and agrotech sector, Nyusi expressed optimism about collaboration, particularly in the abundant production of maize, rice, urad, and vegetables in Mozambique. He expressed hope that Gujarat companies could contribute significantly to the agricultural sector in Mozambique.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, acknowledging the success of the Vibrant Summit, emphasized how it has become a benchmark for growth, attracting business investments from various countries. He highlighted the summit's impact on both the business-industry and the social sector, fostering international bonds. Patel stressed that Gujarat's leadership in the agrofood processing sector makes the Vibrant Summit an ideal platform for developing countries like Mozambique to explore opportunities in this domain.
The meeting, attended by key officials including Chief Secretary Raj Kumar, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister K. Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Pankaj Joshi, and Additional Chief Secretary S.J. Haider, marked a significant step towards strengthening bilateral ties between Gujarat and Mozambique.
