Ahmedabad – As excitement builds for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, authorities at Ahmedabad, Surat, and Rajkot airports are meticulously orchestrating an aerial ballet to accommodate the influx of special guests and private jets. With over 150 flights expected, including VVIP movement, comprehensive parking arrangements have been put in place to ensure a seamless flow of air traffic without disrupting scheduled commercial flights.
Ahmedabad Takes Center Stage:
Ahmedabad Airport, the main gateway to the summit, will be the focus of activity. A total of 43 parking slots have been designated for a diverse mix of aircraft, including charter, non-charter, scheduled, and non-scheduled flights. To minimize disruptions to regular passengers, domestic travelers are advised to arrive 3 hours prior to their scheduled departures due to anticipated VVIP movements.
Rajkot and Surat Stand Ready:
In anticipation of an overflow at Ahmedabad, both Surat and Rajkot airports have been placed on standby for parking additional charter jets. Should the anticipated 150 flights exceed capacity at these three airports within Gujarat, arrangements have even been made to divert certain flights to Indore Airport in neighboring Madhya Pradesh.
VVIP Treatment and Secured Skies:
Recognizing the high-profile nature of the summit, Ahmedabad Airport has allocated 10 dedicated parking slots for VVIP aircraft, catering to representatives of major corporations like Reliance and international dignitaries like the Prince of Dubai. Separate and secure parking areas have also been designated for other charter and special aircraft, ensuring the safety and privacy of all guests.
