Surat - The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with The Institute of Design and Technology, marked a groundbreaking moment during the 'SGCCI Garment Expo 2023 - Vendor Networking Opportunity' by hosting the inaugural 'Kids Fashion Show 2023' at Platinum Hall, Sarsana. The event showcased the creative flair of first-year fashion designing students who graced the ramp in outfits of their own creation, bringing a burst of youthful energy to the Garment Conclave.

A Kaleidoscope of Creativity: Kids Fashion Show Unveils Unique Themes

The Children's Fashion Show took center stage with delightful ensembles categorized under themes like 'Scoop of Ice Cream' and 'Elements of Earth.' The young designers' imaginative creations reflected a blend of artistic expression and fashion innovation.

Chamber of Commerce President Celebrates Entrepreneurial Spirit

Ramesh Vaghasia, President of the Chamber of Commerce, extended heartfelt congratulations to the budding designers, particularly the young girls who stole the limelight on the runway. He expressed, "Various exhibitions are organized at the Chamber of Commerce under Fashion India to encourage new start-up entrepreneurs in the apparel industry. The Kids Fashion Show, a first-of-its-kind initiative by the Chamber of Commerce, brought immense joy to the participants and spectators alike."

Highlighting the broader objectives of the Garment Conclave, Vaghasia emphasized the aim to boost urban businesses in the garment sector and increase exports. He outlined plans for research to understand global demands in the garment sector, with the intent to produce and export tailored clothing to 84 countries worldwide.

Distinguished Panel of Judges

The fashion showcase saw a distinguished panel of judges, including Himanshu Bodawala, the then former President of the Chamber of Commerce, Bijal Jariwala, Group Chairman and All Exhibition Chairman, Dr. Bandana Bhattacharya, Group Chairperson, Naveen Sainani, Joint Secretary of The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), Dr. Ajoy Bhattacharya, former President of the Chamber and CMAI South Gujarat Region President, and directors of the Institute of Design and Technology, Ashok Gohil and Anupam Gohil. Fashion Choreographer Rahul Jain and Chamber Member Ankita Valand also lent their expertise to assess the creative brilliance on display.

The 'Kids Fashion Show 2023' not only added a vibrant and youthful touch to the Garment Conclave but also affirmed the city's commitment to nurturing and showcasing emerging talent in the dynamic world of fashion.
