Patel Power Push: CM Inspects World's Largest Renewable Energy Park in Kutch
Bhuj: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited the colossal 30,000 MW Solar-Wind Hybrid Renewable Energy Park in Khavda, Kutch, on Wednesday, personally overseeing the progress of this groundbreaking project. Dubbed the world's largest hybrid renewable energy park, the ambitious green energy initiative is estimated to cost a staggering Rs 1.50 lakh crore.
Reviewing Progress, Fueling Green Ambitions:
Patel convened a high-level meeting with key stakeholders, including representatives from Central and State Government enterprises like NTPC, GIPCL, and GSEC, intricately involved in the park's operation. Accompanied by Energy Minister Kanubhai Desai, Chief Advisor Dr. Hasmukh Adhia, and top officials, the Chief Minister meticulously reviewed the work progress.
Patel, brimming with inspiration, exhorted the officials to ensure timely completion and efficient delivery of the park's energy output. He emphasized the critical role this project plays in fulfilling Prime Minister Modi's green energy vision, urging efficient transmission and distribution of the generated power to Gujarat and beyond.
Planning for Efficiency, Prioritizing Speed:
Discussions delved into crucial aspects like power generation, timely evacuation and transmission planning, including pooling stations and transmission lines. Recognizing the project's national significance as a key element of the Prime Minister's vision, Patel recommended the Energy Department hold regular review meetings to monitor progress and address potential roadblocks.
Witnessing the Green Gigawatt Dream:
Following the meeting, Patel, along with senior officials, embarked on a site visit, witnessing firsthand the vast scale of the project spread across roughly 74,600 hectares near Dharamshala on the Kutch border.
