Gandhinagar : In a significant move aimed at instilling moral values and ethical principles in young minds, the Gujarat government has announced the inclusion of the Bhagavad Gita in the school curriculum for classes 6 to 8 in all government schools across the state. This decision, announced on Geeta Jayanti, December 22nd, by State Education Minister Kuberbhai Dindor and State Minister Prafulla Panseria, marks a new chapter in the integration of ancient wisdom into modern education.
Spiritual Knowledge Meets Academic Rigor:
Speaking on the occasion, the ministers emphasized the dual purpose behind this initiative: to expose students to the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and enrich their understanding of human values like karma, righteousness, and self-discipline.
