Young Man Dies After Fish Hook Gets Stuck in Throat in Surat

Munna Yadav, a 35-year-old jacquard machine operator, was eating fish with his friends when a fish hook lodged in his throat, causing him to choke and lose consciousness. He later died at Civil Hospital despite treatment.

SURAT - A 35-year-old man named Munna Yadav tragically died after a fish hook became lodged in his throat while eating with friends. The incident occurred last night at 10 pm in Munna's residence in Suda Sainath Sector 2 of Sachin GIDC area.

Munna, originally from Bihar, lived alone in Surat while his family resided in their village. He supported them financially through his work as a jacquard machine operator.

According to reports, Munna and his three friends were enjoying a meal of fish he had brought home earlier that evening. Suddenly, a fish hook got stuck in his throat, causing him to gasp and lose consciousness. In an attempt to dislodge the hook, Munna tried to remove it with his fingers, but to no avail.

He was immediately rushed to Civil Hospital by 108 ambulance. Doctors commenced treatment, and during the process, 8-10 thorns were expelled through vomiting. However, despite their efforts, Munna succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

The sudden demise of Munna has plunged his family into a state of grief and mourning. His body is currently undergoing post-mortem and will be taken home for final rites upon completion.
