Surat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) is taking proactive steps to enhance international trade opportunities for businesses in South Gujarat. Under their flagship initiative "Mission 84," SGCCI officials recently held meetings with key stakeholders in Mumbai, including Paresh K. Mehta, Regional President (Western Region) of the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), and Sameer Navani, Chief Representative of India, Global Market Sector, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
FIEO Partnership Paves Way for Exporter Support
The meeting with FIEO focused on leveraging their network of over 3,000 exporters across India. Mr. Vaghasia emphasized the importance of Mission 84 in helping Surat's entrepreneurs capitalize on the growing global demand for "Made in India" products. Mr. Mehta acknowledged the project's potential to strengthen India's economy and expressed his commitment to connect FIEO's western region exporters with Mission 84 opportunities.
Dubai Chamber Opens Doors to New Markets
SGCCI also explored collaboration with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Navani commended Mission 84 and expressed his willingness to connect Dubai traders with Surat businesses. He further extended an invitation for a business delegation from Surat to visit Dubai between April and June for exploring partnerships and expanding trade.
Mutual Visits Foster Business Connections
Building upon this collaborative spirit, SGCCI invited a delegation of Dubai businessmen to visit Surat for industrial tours and business meetings. This visit will provide valuable networking opportunities and facilitate direct trade partnerships between businesses in both regions.
