Woman Patient Raped in Karnataka Government Hospital, Suspect Arrested
Shocking Incident Occurs in Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences
Kalaburagi, Karnataka, March 18: A woman patient admitted to a government hospital in Kalaburagi was raped in a shocking incident, according to police reports on Saturday. The suspect, identified as Mehaboob Pasha, was caught by a bystander and handed over to the police.
The crime took place at the Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS). Police stated that on Friday at 11 p.m., Pasha sneaked into the ward, ensuring no one was present, and committed the crime. A bystander, who happened to be at the hospital at the time, apprehended Pasha and turned him over to the authorities.
The victim has been under treatment at the hospital for the last seven months. The Brahmapura police have registered a case and are currently investigating the accused individual. Further details are awaited.
