Passenger Arrested for Smoking on Assam-Bengaluru Flight

Bengaluru - A man has been arrested at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on charges of smoking in the toilet of an Indigo flight, according to sources. The incident took place while the flight was en route from Assam to Bengaluru.

The arrested individual has been identified as Shehari Choudari, who was traveling on the 6E 716 Indigo flight. Choudari's actions in smoking within the aircraft's toilet posed a danger to the safety of his fellow passengers. The flight crew detected the smell of smoke in the toilet and promptly reported the matter to the authorities.

Upon landing at Bengaluru airport, Choudari was taken into custody by airport officials. The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. on Friday, and the airport police have since launched an investigation into the matter.

This incident follows a similar event in the first week of March when a 24-year-old woman was caught smoking in the toilet of an Indigo flight from Kolkata. She was arrested upon her arrival in Bengaluru and later released on bail.
