Groom Makes Grand Entry on Horses, Carries Message of Organ Donation
Rajkot - In a unique gesture, a groom in Rajkot, made a grand entry into his wedding ceremony riding on two horses and carrying a heart-shaped playing card with a message of organ donation awareness. The groom, Partha Jagdishbhai Vadodria, and his bride, who hails from Mota Munjiyasar village in Saurashtra, had also included an organ donation awareness message in their wedding invitation.
Vadodria's unconventional entry was accompanied by a group of groomsmen carrying similar playing cards. The bride's family also welcomed the procession with playing cards, and guests were encouraged to pledge to donate their organs.
The couple's decision to promote organ donation was lauded by the Organ Donation Foundation, which said that they had set a commendable example. "Spreading the message of organ donation is a noble cause, and the couple has done a great service by highlighting it during their wedding," said a foundation spokesperson.
The couple's initiative has sparked a conversation about organ donation in the community, and many people have pledged to become donors. "We hope that this will inspire others to consider organ donation and help save lives," said Vadodria.
