Sunil Grover and Satish Shah Star in 'United Kacche,' a Comedy Series on Immigrants in the UK
The Light-Hearted Show Explores the Struggles of Migrants in Search of a Better Life
Actors Sunil Grover and Satish Shah will soon appear in the upcoming streaming series 'United Kacche,' a light-hearted comedy shot in the United Kingdom. The show follows the story of Tejinder 'Tango' Gill (played by Sunil Grover), a young man from Punjab who dreams of migrating to a foreign land for a better life, a dream inherited from his late father and grandfather.
Tejinder manages to arrange a tourist visa for the United Kingdom but faces challenges as his visa nears expiration, leaving him on the brink of becoming an illegal immigrant. The show's director, Manav Shah, explains that "'United Kacche' is a light-hearted funny show that takes you into the lives of people who would do anything to settle abroad and how people from different communities and countries unite to support each other."
The series also features Sapna Pabbi, Nikhil Vijay, Manu Rishi Chaddha, Nayani Dixit, and Neelu Kohli in significant roles. 'United Kacche' highlights the living conditions of Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi citizens in England who lack permanent residency, earning them the nickname 'Kacche.'
Produced by Yoodlee Films, 'United Kacche' is set to premiere on ZEE5 on March 31.
