Class 6 Student Kidnapped in Patna, Kidnappers Demand Rs 40 Lakh Ransom
Son of Government Teacher Abducted, Threats Issued to Family
In a shocking incident, a Class 6 student and son of a government teacher was kidnapped by unidentified individuals in Patna. The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of Rs 40 lakh for the boy's release. The victim, Tushar Kumar, disappeared on Thursday evening, prompting his family to alert the police.
Bihta police station SHO Sanovar Khan confirmed that an FIR has been registered in connection with the kidnapping. The abductors used Tushar's mobile phone to make their ransom demand, sent a text message via WhatsApp, and then turned off the device. Police sources noted that tracing the location of the culprits has been challenging.
Raj Kishore Pandit, the victim's father, recounted that Tushar had returned home from coaching classes and went to the market for an errand when he failed to return home later in the evening. The kidnappers warned the family not to report the incident to the police and claimed they were monitoring the family's activities. They also threatened to kill Tushar if the ransom was not paid and informed the family that the boy was unconscious.
