Relief Expected for Farmers Affected by Heavy Rainfall
Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has decided to conduct a survey to assess the damage caused by unseasonal rains to standing crops in the state. The heavy rainfall during the winter season has severely impacted farmers, particularly those in 220 talukas across Gujarat.
Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel has directed the Agriculture Department to initiate the survey immediately. All district officials have been instructed to be prepared for the assessment process. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is closely monitoring the situation and has assured that the government will provide necessary assistance to affected farmers.
BJP MLA Lovingji Thakor from Radhanpura has also written a letter to Chief Minister Patel, urging for financial compensation for the farmers who have suffered losses due to the unseasonal rains.
