Man alleges drunk passengers harassed others on Vistara flight

New Delhi, March 17 (IANS) A passenger on a Vistara flight has alleged that some drunk passengers were harassing others, including women, on board the flight. The incident, which occurred on flight UK256, was reported on March 12.

The passenger, Bhavitals, took to Twitter to share the incident, stating that despite complaining to the crew members, no action was taken to control the unruly behaviour of the drunk passengers. The crew members, identified as Shreya, Chaitali, and Charles, allegedly ignored the situation and continued to serve more drinks to the passengers.

"Instead of teaching lessons to such passengers they were totally ignored. Vistara is famous for premium service but today I lost #vistara. And during offboarding instead of being serious about the situation, the crew were laughing and saying "uska(drunk)to pent nikal gaya tha," the passenger tweeted.

Responding to the allegations, Vistara said that their crew is trained to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone on board and they do not condone such behaviour. The airline added that they always strive to provide a comfortable journey to their customers.

According to reports, a total of 139 incidents of unruly behaviour were reported to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) by various airlines in the last two years, including the current year. In order to ensure the safety of the aircraft and maintain good order and discipline on board, the DGCA has issued guidelines for handling disruptive passengers.
