Surat Fire Department Seals Hospital Operating in Basement with Low Oxygen Levels

Surat, India – The Surat Fire Department has sealed the Kamdar Rajya Bima Hospital, which was operating in the basement of a rented house on Ring Road, due to dangerously low oxygen levels. The hospital administration had been repeatedly warned about the issue, but failed to take any action.

The fire department first discovered the low oxygen levels during an inspection two months ago. Since then, they had issued two notices to the hospital administrators and verbally instructed them to address the issue. However, the hospital administration ignored all warnings.

“The lives of patients and staff were in danger due to low oxygen level in the basement of the building,” said Fire Officer Omprakash. “The hospital administration was repeatedly informed about this matter. Notices were also given twice in two months. However, it has been sealed to bring to justice the administrators who ran the hospital by ignoring the warnings and notices of the fire department.”

The fire department is concerned that the hospital administration’s negligence could have put patients and staff at risk of serious injury or even death. They are currently investigating the matter and may take further action against the hospital administrators.

In the meantime, the hospital has been sealed and patients are being transferred to other facilities.
