Cold storage collapse in Uttar Pradesh traps over 20 workers

More than 20 laborers are feared to be buried under the debris of a collapsed cold storage in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh, India.
The incident took place in the cold storage of Mawai village in Chandausi on Thursday.
According to reports, an ammonia gas leak has been reported after the building collapsed. The fire department has arrived on the site and plugged the leak. The rescue operation is being conducted with the help of seven to eight JCB machines.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the officers to reach the spot immediately along with teams of NDRF and SDRF. Further details on the situation are awaited.
