Gir Somnath, Gujarat : Water Resources and Water Supply Minister Mr. Kunwarjibhai Bavaliya made a visit to Gir Somnath district to review the various irrigation works in the area. The Minister's itinerary included a visit to the Machhundri Irrigation Scheme dam site at Gir Garhda, where he was welcomed by Una MLA Mr. Kalaubhai Rathore. He also visited the Pichhvi Small Irrigation Scheme and Water Supply Group Scheme 1 and 2 in Pranchi.
During the visit, the Minister received presentations on the status of canal line work, minor canal and sub-minor canal renovation, infrastructure works, and check dam construction, among others. He gave special instructions to ensure that all works are completed on time and in a planned manner.
In addition to Girgarhda, the Minister also visited the Pranchi Water Supply Group Yojana 1 and 2 of Veraval taluka to gather information about water supply and distribution planning in the surrounding rural areas. The visit was attended by district and irrigation officials, employees, and villagers.
The Minister's review of the irrigation works in Gir Somnath district highlights the importance of ensuring efficient water resources and water supply for the rural communities in the area.
