Garbage truck driver in Surat collides with auto rickshaw and lorry, caught by locals and handed over to police

In a reckless incident in Udhna near Surat railway station, a driver of a door-to-door garbage collection tempo collided with an auto rickshaw and a lorry of Dana Chana. The whole incident was captured on nearby CCTV footage. The driver of the garbage van, identified as Ramu alias Englishman Babulal Bhil, tried to escape but was caught by local people and handed over to the Udhna police.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident. The driver is suspected to have been intoxicated at the time of the accident. Surat city has seen several accidents due to careless driving or loss of control over steering by drivers. The CCTV footage of the incident is currently circulating on social media. The police have registered a case of accident against the driver and taken him into custody for further investigation.
