Tragedy Strikes NRI Village Ahead of Diwali: Robbery Turns Fatal in Anna Village, Surat

Anna village in the Palsana taluka of Surat district, renowned as the NRI village, is grappling with turmoil just days before Diwali as robbers launch a brutal attack. The assailants infiltrated Anna village, specifically targeting house number 13 in Shivalik Bungalows, resulting in a tragic incident that claimed the life of a clerk.

The robbers, cunningly posing as the house owner Rakesh Nayak, entered the residence and demanded gold jewelry from Rakeshbhai Nayak's room. Despite Rakeshbhai's compliance and willingness to surrender all the jewelry, the heartless robbers mercilessly strangled him to death. Subsequently, the criminals looted all the gold possessions and made a swift escape.

The incident took place in Shivalik Bungalows, where an agricultural field and a highway provided a convenient escape route for the robbers, who took advantage of the fields and the highway to flee.

Rakesh Nayak, the unfortunate victim of this heinous crime, served as a clerk in a school under the Anna Education Board in Anna village. The household comprised a total of six members, including a boy and a girl, Rakeshbhai, his wife, and his mother, all now grappling with the aftermath of this shocking and tragic event.
