The Rajkot police have solved the case of the murder of laborer Vinod Kharwar, whose body was found at Hirasar airport on March 10. The main accused, Rajaram Sarju Ram, had suspected that Vinod was having an affair with his wife, leading to his brutal murder.
After four days of continuous investigation, the Rajkot police were able to track down the accused. A big disclosure in the case came to light when the complainant turned out to be the accused himself. For three days, the accused had misled the police by presenting himself as a prosecutor.
Vinod and the accused were friends who had come to Rajkot for wage work and were laborers at Hirasar airport, living in the same colony. Along with two other friends, Vinod was murdered by Rajaram and Dinesh in a brutal act of vengeance. The accused had strangled Vinod with a wire and thrown his body in the valley of Purani Bela.
The body was discovered three days after the murder, in a bloated condition, with one leg eaten by an animal. After being suspected by the police, the accused confessed to the murder in front of the authorities. The Rajkot police are continuing to investigate the matter.
