Four Mobile Phones Found Hidden in Prisoner's Anus at Surat Jail

Surat : Sachin Police has registered a case and initiated an investigation after four mobile phones were found hidden in the anus of a labor prisoner who returned to Lajpore Jail after serving his sentence.

The incident occurred yesterday afternoon at the gate of Surat's Hi-Tech Lajpore Jail. Upon the prisoner's return from the court, Court Duty Officer ASI Babubhai Rathod and Main Gate Officer Dashrathbhai Padhiyar noticed suspicious behavior in the prisoner, identified as Sultan Ali Ghulam Ali Shaikh.

Acting on their suspicions, the officers scanned Shaikh using a non-linear junction detector machine, which indicated a signal in his anus. Subsequently, Shaikh was taken to the prison hospital for an examination, where medical staff discovered four mobile phones with batteries but without SIM cards hidden inside his anus.

In-charge jailer DB Rana filed a complaint at Sachin police station against Shaikh for attempting to smuggle mobile phones into the prison. It is worth noting that Shaikh is a murder suspect who has been lodged at Lajpore Jail as a raw prisoner since April 10, 2019.

The police are investigating the incident and are currently questioning Shaikh to determine how he managed to smuggle the mobile phones into the jail premises.
