Surat : Harsh Sanghvi Inaugurates 40 Residences for Surat Railway Police
Lauds Police's Role in Passenger Safety and Anti-Addiction Drive
Surat : Union Minister of State Darshana Jardosh and Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi today inaugurated 40 newly constructed residences for Surat Railway Police personnel.
Addressing the gathering, Sanghvi praised the Railway Police for their exemplary work in ensuring passenger safety and security. He highlighted their role in managing overcrowding, luggage handling, and dealing with people from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
"The Railway Police has done an excellent job by arresting more than 13 accused and recovering 188 kg of ganja," Sanghvi said, emphasizing their commitment to combating drug trafficking.
He also commended the Railway Police for their efforts in reuniting lost children with their families. "Railway Police has found 210 children and given gifts to their families. No one can be happier than when the Railway Police reunites children with their families," Sanghvi added.
In his address, Sanghvi urged the newly allotted families to consider their residences as their dream homes and maintain cleanliness. He also called upon the public to cooperate with the police in maintaining law and order.
"If anyone is doing any activity to ruin the youth, then immediately inform the Railway Police or if the police does not listen then call me," Sanghvi stated.
He further appreciated the Surat Police's efforts in curbing traffic congestion and urged them to continue working towards improving the city's traffic situation.
"Our Surat city is a city of kind-hearted people, hence every citizen of the city should worry about the poor," Sanghvi concluded.
The inauguration of the residences marks a significant step towards providing better housing facilities for Surat Railway Police personnel, enhancing their morale and contributing to their overall well-being.
