Rajkot : Somnath and Ayodhya Linked by 'Mahayagya of Writing Mantras in the Name of Shri Ram'
Devotees from India and Abroad to Participate in Unique Initiative
A unique initiative, named 'Mahayagya of Writing Mantras in the Name of Shri Ram from Somnath to Ayodhya', is connecting the historically significant and similar first Jyotirlinga of Somnath and Shri Ram Temple of Ayodhya through a thread of unity. This Mahayagya, which involves writing the name of Shri Ram, was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also serves as the President of the Somnath Trust, during a meeting of the Trust at Gandhinagar Raj Bhavan.
The Mahayagya holds special importance as it symbolizes the reconstruction of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Ramnaam Granth written by devotees of Somnath will be offered in Ayodhya on the sacred occasion of Pran Pratistha, marking the completion of the temple's construction.
Devotees from India and abroad will have the opportunity to participate in this Mahayagya, which will take place at the Shri Ram temple located at Somnath Tirtha from 7.30 am to 8 pm. To facilitate their participation, a bus service from the Shri Somnath Temple will transport devotees to the Ram Temple.
To ensure a seamless experience, special books and writings designed for writing the name of Ram have been arranged for the devotees at the Shri Ram Mandir. Additionally, separate arrangements have been made to provide food to every devotee who participates in the Mahayagya.
The Ramnaam written by the devotees will be dedicated in the Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav in Shri Ram Temple Ayodhya, further solidifying the connection between the two holy sites.
This initiative not only provides an opportunity for devotees to express their devotion but also serves as a symbol of unity and the enduring legacy of Lord Shri Ram.
