Drunk TTE allegedly urinates on woman passenger on Akal Takht Express in UP

In another shameful incident, a drunk Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE), Munna Kumar from Bihar, allegedly urinated on a woman passenger who was travelling with her husband on the Akal Takht Express between Amritsar and Kolkata.

According to reports, the woman was sleeping when the TTE urinated on her. She immediately woke up and raised an alarm, following which her husband caught hold of the TTE. Other passengers also woke up and thrashed the TTE, and later handed him over to the Government Railway Police (GRP).

Navratna Gautam, in-charge of GRP Charbagh railway station, said that the TTE was detained and taken into custody on the complaint of passenger Rajesh, a resident of Amritsar, whose wife was the victim in the incident.

This is not the first time such an incident has happened. In recent months, similar incidents have been reported on flights as well, where intoxicated passengers allegedly urinated on fellow passengers. In one instance, a man was detained and given a 4-month ban from flying on Air India aircraft, while in another case, a drunk man was arrested at IGI airport in Delhi after he allegedly urinated on a passenger sitting next to him on an American Airlines flight from New York to Delhi.

Such incidents not only create a public nuisance but also raise serious concerns about the safety and dignity of passengers while travelling. The authorities need to take strict action to ensure that such incidents do not happen in the future.
