Rajkot Sets World Record for Largest Garba Dance, Over 1.2 Lakh People Participate
Event Held on Sharad Purnima Night, Features Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Composition
Rajkot - October 30, 2023: Rajkot set a new world record for the largest Garba dance on Sunday night, with over 1.2 lakh people participating in the event. The event was held at the Race Course Ground on the occasion of Sharad Purnima, a Hindu festival that marks the full moon in the month of Ashwin.
The Garba dance was performed to the tune of a song composed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event was organized by the Rajkot City BJP, Self-reliant School Management Board, and Incredible Group.
Several prominent BJP leaders, including State President CR Patil and Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi, were present at the event.
The Guinness World Records, World Book of Records London, and Indian Traditional Book of Records have all certified the event as a world record.
The participants in the event also took an oath to stay away from drugs.
The event was a huge success, and it has brought pride to the city of Rajkot. It is a testament to the city's rich cultural heritage and the people's love for Garba dance.
