Surat : Baby Donates Organs After Being Declared Brain Dead Within 100 Hours of Birth

A baby in Surat, India, has donated his organs after being declared brain dead within 100 hours of birth. The baby's family, followers of the Swadhyay Parivar spiritual movement, agreed to donate his organs after the efforts of Jeevandeep Organ Donation Foundation.

The baby's mother, Vandanabe, gave birth to him via caesarean section due to internal bleeding. The baby was not moving or crying at birth, and his breathing had stopped. He was immediately shifted to Deep Children Hospital, Katargam, where he was declared brain dead.

With the help of Jeevandeep Organ Donation Foundation, the baby's organs were donated to five other children. His kidneys and spleen were donated to IKDRC (Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre), and his eyes were donated to Lok Drishti Eye Bank.

This is a rare case of a baby donating organs. The baby's family has shown great generosity and compassion in agreeing to donate his organs, even in their time of grief. Their selfless act has given a new lease on life to five other children.
