Surat : A Surat PSI showed great humanity and dedication to duty on Friday when he carried an unconscious girl on his shoulders for over 100 meters to get her to an ambulance.
PSI B.S. Parmar was present in the Surat District Court when a girl fainted on the third floor. Without wasting a moment, Parmar lifted the unconscious girl on his shoulders and ran to the ambulance parked outside the court premises.
Parmar said that he didn't even know the girl, but he knew that she needed immediate treatment. He said that the road to the ambulance was over 100 meters away, but he didn't want to waste any time.
"I lifted her on my shoulder and started running till 108," Parmar said.
Parmar's quick and selfless actions saved the girl's life. She was treated in the ambulance and is now recovering.
Parmar's act of humanity has been praised by his colleagues and the public alike. He is a role model for all police officers and a reminder that humanity is still alive in our society.
