Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Discusses Ways to Make Revenue Services More Transparent Through e-Dhara

Gandhinagar : Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday chaired the second meeting of the state level governing body of Gujarat State e-Dhara Society. In the meeting, the Chief Minister discussed and gave guidance on how to make revenue services more transparent at the district level through extensive use of advanced technology and to strengthen e-Dhara records.

E-Dhara Society is an autonomous and independent institution formed under the Revenue Department to function at the state level and to perform revenue related functions of the Central and State Governments. It is also working to strengthen the District Level e-Dhara Society and to implement e-Governance related projects assigned to it by the Government or other organizations in the future.

The Chief Minister is the Chairman of the Society and its members include the Chief Secretary, 4 Additional Chief Secretaries, and 3 Secretaries. The Revenue Inspection Commissioner is the Member Secretary of the Society.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister was informed that over one crore citizens avail the benefit of viewing revenue records online through internet every month.

E-Dhara has provided digital signatures of Gram Form 7/12, 8-A and Haq Patrak (Mutation Register) and more than 62 lakhs with QR code. Authorized copies are issued each month.

Apart from this, the number of entries made in the original records i.e. mutation entries by the account holders by directly contacting the e-Dhara center for making changes related to their rights is more than 1.5 lakh every month. The number of auto mutations through online platforms also remains more than 50 thousand per month.

The meeting also discussed the issue of providing 36 faceless online services, including non-agricultural, to the citizens of the state through the integrated online revenue application i-Ora.

Chief Secretary Raj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue Department M.K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary of General Administration Department Kamal Dayani and senior secretaries of concerned departments participated in the meeting.
