Rajkot to Set World Record for Garba on Sharad Purnima
One lakh players to perform Garba on 'Maadi' Garba written by PM Modi
Rajkot, October 25: Rajkot is set to create a world record on October 28 on the occasion of Sharad Purnima for the largest Garba performance. Around one lakh players will perform Garba on 'Maadi' Garba, a song written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The event is being organized by the City BJP, Self-reliant School Board of Directors, and Incredible Group. It is one of the objectives of this Garba event to give a social message. People will be made to pledge to make Rajkot drug free, and a 'Say No to Drugs' campaign will be started across the state. BJP State President CR Patil and Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi will also be present at the event.
More than 20 selfie points have been made for the event, which will be held on the night of Sharad Purnima. More than 500 volunteers will be on hand to prepare for the event, and 10 ambulances will be on standby.
Prime Minister Modi had written the Garba song many years ago. The music video of the song was released on Navratri this year. It is sung by Bhanushali and voiced by Tanishk Bagchi. Jackky Bhagnani is the producer of the song. The song was released on social media YouTube. The director of the song, which depicts the culture of Gujarat during Navratri, is Nadeem Shah.
The Garba event is expected to be a grand affair and a showcase of the rich culture of Gujarat. It is also a significant event for Rajkot, as it will set a new world record for the largest Garba performance.
