Navsari: Man kills 4-year-old son and then commits suicide after fight with wife

Navsari, Gujarat, India: A tragic incident has come to light in Navsari city, where a man allegedly killed his 4-year-old son and then committed suicide after a fight with his wife.

The deceased man has been identified as Rakesh Goswami, a laborer by profession. His son has been identified as Dwij Goswami.

According to the police, the couple had been living separately for nine months due to frequent fights. On the day of the incident, Rakesh came to his wife's house to take their son with him. The couple got into an argument, which escalated into a fight.

Rakesh then took his son to the eighth floor of a government colony building in the old police station area of Navsari city. Police and fire brigade personnel tried to stop him, but he threw his son down from the building and then jumped himself.

Both Rakesh and Dwij were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.

The police have registered a case of murder and suicide against Rakesh Goswami. Further investigations are underway.
