Surat Police raided spas simultaneously across the city on Thursday, arresting 35 people and busting a prostitution racket.
Teams including local police and crime branch were involved in the raid, which covered Zone 1 to Zone 6 police station areas.
Spas were raided in many areas of Surat including Sarthana, Mota Varachha, Kapodra, Amroli, Dumas Road, Piplod, VIP Road, Althan, Bhimrad, Adajan, Rander and Dindoli.
Police said many spa managers were calling customers by sending pictures of girls on mobile phones. Along with youth, women were also freed from this business.
All those arrested have been booked under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA).
Police are investigating further to identify the masterminds behind the racket and to ascertain whether any other spas are involved.
