Vibrant Gujarat-Vibrant Districts Event: Rs 25,147 Crore Investment, 65,000 Jobs Created
CM Bhupendra Patel Emphasizes Need for Vibrant Districts to Promote Inclusive Development
Ahmedabad : Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Tuesday presided over the 'Vibrant Gujarat-Vibrant Ahmedabad' event, where he announced that a total of 2,590 MoUs have been signed so far in various districts for an investment of Rs 25,147 crore as a result of the state-wide event. He also said that more than 65 thousand employment opportunities will be created in the coming time as a result of this potential investment.
In his address, the Chief Minister said that the 'Vibrant Gujarat-Vibrant District' initiative was launched in this year's Vibrant-2024 Summit with the aim of spreading the fruits of Vibrant Gujarat Summit at the district level. He said that every district of the state has unique potential and strength, which the government is committed to giving a global platform.
In the event organized in Ahmedabad, 484 MOUs were signed for potential investment of Rs 12,571 crore in various sectors. As a result, about 17 thousand employment opportunities will be created in future.
The Chief Minister also said that the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, which was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2003, has become a capable platform for knowledge sharing and networking. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, India has become the fifth largest economy in the world and large scale events like Vibrant Summit and Vibrant Gujarat-Vibrant District event will be useful in taking it to the third position by 2027 and making India a developed India by 2047.
He said that in the vision set by the Prime Minister of a developed India by 2047, every district of Gujarat is going to be ready to stand shoulder to shoulder in building 'Developed India from Developed Gujarat' by contributing its share. He said that the 'Vibrant Gujarat-Vibrant District' will help in branding and bonding of Vibrant Summit with the spirit of participation and ownership of entrepreneurs-investors at the district level.
The Chief Minister also said that the district level meets are realizing the mantra given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of 'One District One Product' and 'Vocal for Local'. He said that the government is working to establish a complete value chain and ecosystem for industries at the district level.
Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel, who was also present at the event, said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the dawn of the new India of the 21st century came from Gujarat. He said that many entrepreneurs started from Gujarat and today have gained fame in the country and abroad. Being a policy driven state, Gujarat has become the first choice of investors from all over the world.
Industries Minister Balwant Singh Rajput said that the then Chief Minister Narendra Modi had started the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit to take the state towards global development. Today this summit has become an important platform to connect many entrepreneurs. He said that today Gujarat is exporting 33 percent of the total exports of the entire country, while Gujarat is producing 18 percent of the total production. Apart from this, Gujarat also tops in startups. Today the state providing highest employment is Gujarat.
The 'Vibrant Gujarat-Vibrant District' event is a part of the state government's efforts to promote inclusive development and create jobs across Gujarat. The event has been successful in attracting investment and generating employment in various districts of the state.
