Textile Industrialists Discuss Ways to Promote Sustainability and Creativity at GFRRC Textile Mahotsav
Chamber of Commerce Vice President Emphasizes Need for PM MITRA Park in Surat
SURAT : Textile industrialists discussed ways to promote sustainability and creativity in the industry at the Global Fabric Resource and Research Centre (GFRRC) Textile Mahotsav organized by the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) on the third day of the event.
Sanjay Gangwani, director of textile manufacturer Ganga Fashion Pvt Ltd, and Mahesh Maheshwari, executive director of Nimbark Fashion Ltd, were among the speakers at the event. They emphasized the need for the industry to focus on developing sustainable and creative products that meet the changing demands of consumers.
Ashish Gujarati, President of Co-operative Society Limited, also spoke at the event. He highlighted the importance of the government's PM MITRA Park project for the textile industry in Surat. He said that the park will help to create a sustainable textile industry on a large scale and give India a high position in the global textile market.
Chamber of Commerce Vice President Vijay Mewawala said in his welcome address that Surat is the largest textile center in India and that 90 percent of the textile produced in Surat is from man-made fiber (MMF). He also said that the government is launching PM MITRA in Surat soon to promote industries.
Girdhargopal Mundhra, President, GFRRC, presented the outline of the programme. The program was conducted by GFRRC member Parimal Vakharia. Former Chamber President Mahendra Kajiwala and textile industrialists were present in the program.
The GFRRC Textile Mahotsav is a three-day event that showcases the latest trends and technologies in the textile industry. It also provides a platform for textile industrialists to network and learn from each other.
