Surat : South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce Organizes Interactive Session on Business Opportunities between India and Tanzania

Surat, October 14, 2023: The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) organized an interactive session on "Business Opportunities between India and Tanzania" on Saturday. The session was attended by a delegation from Tanzania, including High Commissioner Balozi Anisa Mbega and Director General of the Tanzania Investment Centre Gilad Terry.

Chamber of Commerce President Ramesh Vaghasia presented the Mission 84 project to the Tanzanian delegation and requested them to join it. He gave detailed information about the project and explained the need and importance of strengthening the Indian economy through international trade.

High Commissioner Mbega said that Tanzania is ready to move forward with India in terms of international trade and investment. He said that Tanzania has vast investment opportunities in various industries such as mining and metals, agriculture, agro-processing, health care, auto mobile, engineering and servicing, textiles, building materials, tourism and IT sector.

Director General Terry gave a detailed presentation on the areas where investment can be made in Tanzania. He said that there are many good opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector. He also said that the Tanzanian government is providing facilities through One Stop Facilitation Centre to make it easier for Indian entrepreneurs to invest and do business in Tanzania. Indian entrepreneurs are also given incentives for business.

During the session, traders from Surat had a one-to-one meeting with the Tanzanian delegation and received information about trade and exports.

The interactive session was a success in promoting business opportunities between India and Tanzania. The Tanzanian delegation's participation in the session was a positive sign of the growing economic ties between the two countries.
