Surat Civil Hospital System Deploys Additional Medical Staff Ahead of Navratri

The Surat Civil Hospital system has deployed additional medical staff in anticipation of a surge in heart attack cases during the upcoming Navratri festival. The civil administration has taken this decision as a precautionary measure, given the recent increase in heart attack cases across the country, including Surat.

All night duty staff at the Surat Civil Hospital have been specially trained to handle heart attack cases. The hospital has also formed an isolation team for 10 days, which will consist of 1 Professor of Medicine, 1 Senior Resident Doctor, 2 ECG Medical, Paramedical and Technician personnel.

In addition to the Surat Civil Hospital, Garba organizers have also deployed medical staff at their venues to prevent any heart attack incidents during Navratri.

Civil Hospital Superintendent Ganesh Govekar said that a team of specialist doctors has been deployed at the hospital to provide immediate treatment to heart attack patients during Navratri. He added that all facilities, including medical treatment, have been provided at the hospital.

Govekar also informed that two senior resident doctors will be on call during the 10 days of Navratri. He urged people to seek immediate medical attention if they experience any symptoms of a heart attack, such as chest pain, shortness of breath, and dizziness.

The Gujarat government has also issued guidelines to Garba organizers to ensure the safety of participants during the festival. The guidelines include providing adequate medical facilities, ensuring proper ventilation at Garba venues, and keeping first aid kits handy.
