A 45-year-old man named Kamlesh Makwana died of a heart attack on University Road in Rajkot city at around 7:30 pm on Sunday. Makwana was riding a two-wheeler with his friend when he suddenly felt dizzy and stopped the vehicle. He fell on the road and was rushed to a private hospital in an unconscious state, but the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Makwana's death has left his 10-year-old daughter without a father at a young age. He was also the eldest of two brothers.
The police have registered an accidental death case under CrPC 174 and are investigating the matter. They will be recording the statement of Makwana's family to determine whether he had any underlying medical conditions. However, the preliminary postmortem report suggests that Makwana died of a heart attack.
