Rajkot : Woman Dies in Road Accident After Cow Darts in Front of Motorcycle

A 40-year-old woman died in a road accident near Tulsi Hotel on Rajkot Bhavnagar Highway on Sunday. The accident occurred when a cow suddenly darted in front of the motorcycle that the woman was riding pillion with her husband. The husband, Manu Sidhpara, lost control of the motorcycle and the couple fell on the road.

The woman, Chandrika Sidhapara, died due to a serious head injury. Her husband suffered a fracture in his left hand.

A complaint has been lodged by the deceased's brother, Ramesh Bhesaniya, against Manu Sidhpara under IPC 304 A (negligent driving causing death), 279 (rash driving), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), and Motor Vehicles Act.

The couple was going from Rajkot towards Jangwad on Sunday when the accident occurred. They were rushed to a hospital in Aatkot, where Chandrika Sidhapara was declared brought dead.

The police investigation revealed that the couple had a son and a daughter.

The incident is a reminder of the dangers of road accidents, especially those involving livestock. Drivers are advised to be extra cautious while driving in areas where livestock are present.
